Today, in the first stop of our Central-North India tour, we got the opportunity to interact with the higher officials of the Bihar Forest Department. This is our third study tour of India. Before this, we have done other states of Assam, Nagaland, Arunachal Pradesh, West Bengal, Orissa, Jharkhand, Sikkim etc. During our last visit to Eastern India, the way, Jharkhand Forest Department took care of us, it was unforgettable. By the way, it is a very good tradition of Forest Department that even if you go to any corner of the country, being an officer of Forest Department, you will be greeted warmly, but still, if you get better treatment than expected at some places, you will definitely feel very happy. Seeing the senior most officers of the forest department and its top management team together under one roof...

From the hostel, we left at around 4:30 am by the academy bus and reached Guwahati Railway Station and took the Poorvottar Sampark Kranti train number-22449 at 6:15 am.  We reached Patliputra station at around 10:30 pm.Patliputra railway station was built in 2013.It is located 12 kilometers north-west of Patna Junction and has been developed primarily to reduce the pressure on the other two railway stations in the city.  As soon as we got down from the train, the officials of Bihar Forest Department met us ready and they had already arranged 02 buses and a luggage vehicle for us. The distance from the station to our hotel Amrapali Hotel was about 10 km. We reached the hotel around 11:00 pm. Various programs have been scheduled for us tomorrow morning at 9:30 am in Patna Zoo. In the afternoon there will be snake handling training in Cana Garden followed by a visit to the Botanical section. At...

If the first line of the song instead of "Mujhe neend naa aaye..... ", would have been something like this "Mujhe neend bahut aaye.....", many of our officer trainees in the academy would be found humming this song many times. Due to the old habit of sleeping late at night and getting up late in the morning, many of our officer trainees sometimes face some difficulty in keeping pace with the training schedule here. Lack of sleep becomes a problem for some officer trainees due to the habit of sleeping late at night and then the compulsion to wake up early in the morning and not getting any sleep slot during the day. Now they have to find the solution to the problem on their own, so those who are not smart enough to sleep in the class, either convert some time after PT into sle...
