On April 03 afternoon, all 48 of us State Forest Service Officer Trainees left for a month long tour of Eastern India by Saraighat Express. From CASFOS Hostel at around 10 a.m. we boarded the academy bus to the railway station and at 12:20 boarded the Saraighat Express to Calcutta.  The fatigue of almost 17 hours of train journey went away as soon as we landed at Kolkata's Howrah Junction. Howrah railway station is the oldest and largest railway complex in India. Kolkata is a city of colonial architecture, museums, art galleries, traditional food, temples, music and theatre. Celebration of officer Trainee's birthday at CASFOS Hostel.

It is a custom to celebrate the birthday of every officer trainee at CASFOS Burnihat. A separate fund has been created for this in which every officer trainee deposits a fixed amount every month.  Yogesh has the first roll number in our batch of 48 people. Every Officer Trainee in the academy has to act as Duty Officer for a week according to his roll number. Being the first roll number, Yogesh was the first duty officer of this batch. Some fellow people also call bubbly Yogesh by the name of "Yogi". The process of congratulating him through WhatsApp started from morning itself, which continued in the evening. The cake cutting ceremony continued till 7:30 pm. Each and every process of training in CASFOS is so excellent that the officer trainee continues to get training on one or the other chapter of whole training module through each process. Celebrating birthday is also a process which is working to strengthen the trainee's interpersonal skills sometimes called people sk...
